The Civil Public Art Of Tatyana FazlalizadehJuxtapoz // Friday, 18 Apr 2014
Tatyana Fazlalizadeh’s art project, “Stop Telling Women to Smile,” took off about 18 months ago when she began put up self-portraits in her neighborhood. After interviewing about 15 women, she created poster portraits of them, which then spread by social media. With a hefty Kickstarter campaign last fall, she was able to travel the country, meet and talk with women and create and hang new work. Georgia State University had invited Fazlalizadeh to paste her posters with local artists and professors. Check it out.
