No question, we lost a legend last week with the passing of Maurice Sendak, and the New York Times published a portfolio this past weekend titled "Thanks, Maurice," inviting artists to re-imagine and create tributes to the author of Where The Wild Things Are. Geoff McFetridge, Gary Taxali, Jon Klassen, Marc Rosenthal, Tomi Ungerer, Bob Staake, and Art Spiegelman all contributed tributes.
