Not only are these geometric string installations well-constructed by French artist Sebastien Preschoux, but the way they are lit and photographed makes them seem even more profound. The thread installations transform otherwise dark locations into spaces that appear ready to jump through for optimal time travel. The photos in the gallery below show how hands-on these constructions can be. And these are all handmade projects. He says of not using computers, "With a computer you can make everything fast-paced and very flattering, everyone can fake it, so what’s the point? Nothing personal, nothing unique.”

Also included in the gallery are Preschoux' amazing line drawings. Remember those kids who drew geometric patterns in their binders during class? Preschoux was the really good one. The best one. (via)
