Saddo And Other in Dresden

In 2 and half days, Other and Saddo completed this large-scale mural in Dresden, Germany.   Plenty of great detail to get lost in and one of the biggest murals we have seen these artists work on. Traveling back to the U.S., Other will be showing new work will fellow artist Stinkfish at Brooklynite Gallery in Brooklyn on November 5th.

Very Hungry God Sculpture

Back in 2006, New Dehli-based artist, Subodh Gupta created the following piece titled “Very Hungry God.”   Constructed of Stainless steel kitchen utensils in reaction to reports that French soup-kitchens were using pork as an ingredient to deter Muslims from partaking in the meals.  The sculpture was exhibited internationally and eventually found a home in François Pinault's extensive collection.

I was convinced that the person who was responsible for this painting was deeply immersed in methamphetamines and just “went for it” one day.  Loading this picture up to share, I noticed that it was just a photo placed over the van.  This was disappointing news, but we want to inspire someone to “go for it: and paint a Big Rig on a van!
