Street Art // Friday, November 29, 2013
A shanty beachside bungalow in Andavadoaka, Madagascar got hooked up with a tie wearing green snake courtesy of Spanish muralist, Aryz. This could spawn some envy amongst the neighbors seeing as how everything surrounding this has a weathered grey wood look? It could also read as a very large “Beware!” sign.

A few weeks ago, Greek artists, Alexandros Vasmoulakis and b, invited an all-star cast of artists to participate in a group exhibition entitled “Intermission” held in an industrial building in Greece. In order to redefine the nature of events that have led this planet to it’s current condition, artists Paul Insect, Bast, Rostarr and Saber, literally took an “Intermission” from current sociopolitical issues to offer new perspectives for an optimistic future. The exhibition featured all new works from each of the artists, displaying a eclectic mix of distinct, refined aesthetics.

Sculptures by Bruce Catalano

Street Art // Wednesday, November 27, 2013
These “How is that standing?” bronze sculptures are the creations of French artist, Bruno Catalano and they will make you double-take. In September in celebration of their status as the European Capitol of Culture 2013, the port of Marseille placed 10 of these life-sized sculptures on display outside. Each piece has huge chunks missing from them as if an “eraser” tool from Photoshop was used. The artists describes these pieces as representations of a world citizen in search of their missing pieces. Catalano worked as a sailor where he found much of inspiration from traveling for these sculptures.

"Vertical Garden" by Escif in Mallorca, Spain

Street Art // Monday, November 25, 2013
With little information about this piece, Escif simply says, “Isolated nature on nature Island.” This island he speaks of is Mallorca, a tropical paradise located in the Mediterranean Sea off Spain. The building that Escif painted the collection of lush plants on appears to be a hotel (speculation). Hopefully, Escif is compensated with unlimited complimentary accommodations for his beautiful addition to this establishment.
