Daniel Muñoz, known to many as "SAN", has always had a talent for fine art and illustration, creating imaginary worlds that have made him one of the most fascinating and talented artists to emerge from Spain in recent years. He is also a very talented muralist and street artist. Recently, the Madrid-based artist completed a piece, roughly translated to "11 Figures Working In a Corner" on the small abandoned building in the town of Blanca, Murcia, Spain.

Each year when we head to Nuart in Stavanger, Norway, we always like meeting and learning about new waves of European street artists. One artist who has been at Nuart in the past is Anders "STRØK" Gjennestad, who now has an exhibition of stencil works at Stavanger's Reed Projects.

Argentina-based artist Pastel recently finished a few murals in Salento, Italy as part of the Viavai Project. The wall speaks to the significance of human essence living and surviving in a chaotic time. "The flowers of death remind us at the end we are all going to see them from beneath, without exceptions."

Our friend Butterfly headed down to Southbank Centre in London this past weekend for the Festival of Spain and documented a public, live painting piece between Jux friend Remed and Okuda. They were given a glass box to paint as thousands of people streamed along the River Thames and enjoyed the festivities.

One certainty, if I could be so bold, is the proclamation that Public Art makes cities better. It's a simple formula, one that Juxtapoz has declared a necessity for years, had dedicated an entire issue to, and has documented and participated in over the last decade. Public Art programs make people happy. We aren't talking about expensive forays bringing international artists to your city lending a stunning sculpture to your waterfront views...

Remember this one from Banksy's month-long residency on the streets of NYC, "Better Out Than In"? The Meat Truck, aka "Sirens of the Lamb" was probably the best part of the project, featuring a truck that drove around Manhattan with stuffed-animals on their way to the slaughterhouse. Well, in honor, Banksy has a nice drawn illustration of the piece on his site today. Maybe its a slow news day. Maybe we like the drawing. Maybe we miss Anthony Hopkins?

NYCHOS, the Austrian super muralist that we have featured in our print edition and web edition many times over the years, is set to open a new solo show, "Street Anatomy," at FIFTY24SF Gallery in San Francisco on Friday, April 18th 2014. NYCHOS has been painting murals all over the city the past few weeks, and our friend James Pawlish caught him painting at the iconic Haight-Ashbury intersection. Probably a good idea for the foot traffic and the sleeping kids on the street to get a little NYCHOS in their brains...

As we noted the other day, our good friends at Nuart were in Berlin, curating and organizing "Project M/3" with Urban Nation. As they do every year in Stavanger, Norway, Nuart brought together a roster of international, national and emerging names in Street Art...
