During Art Basel one of the most talked about events and certainly one of our favorites was the Deluxx Fluxx arcade by Faile and Bast.  For this special pop-up event, these three artists re-programmed vintage arcade games and pinball machines into sculptural works of art, as well as created an  entire black light room with glowing posters and football tables to play. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in person, this video will give you some perspective on how the space was constructed and the ideas behind the installation.

An update with Pixel Pancho

Italy-based artist, Pixel Pancho, is currently in Juárez, Mexico where he has been creating a series of new pieces around town. Check out what Pancho has been up to in a city that only a few years ago had the highest reported murder rate in the world, but has since had significant improvements and crime reductions.

New Sam3 mural in Barcelona, Spain

Sam3’s newest mural in Barcelona, Spain is of four trees with large silhouettes of faces created by the branches. This piece was painted somewhere off the Clot Metro line and shouldn’t be too hard to miss.

Dhear One paints National Homeopathic Hospital in Mexico

Over the course of 31 days, Mexico City-based painter and muralist, Dhear One, painted this striking, eleganttly composed mural on the exterior of National Homeopathic Hospital in Mexico. The artist created this particular piece to attract people to consider alternative medicine and pay tribute to the the traditional pioneers of mural painting in Mexico.
