Stephen "ESPO" Powers' "Love Letter to Syracuse": A video

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, 10 Nov 2010

Has there been anyone in American art in the past year who has more fun and worked as hard as Stephen "ESPO" Powers? He gets to create his own commentary and dialog with the world, done in building sized pieces, and he is being asked to do it. And better yet, Powers is really good at it.

We just published the photo above in the current November issue of Juxtapoz, shot by Adam Wallacavage, from ESPO's "Love Letter to Syracuse" project he did this past Summer. On the heels of his "A Love Letter For You" mega-project in Philadelphia last year, "Syracuse" again shows Powers' humor, wit, and world class skill.

A short film was created and directed by Faythe Levine and Samuel Macon for Powers' "Love Letter to Syracuse." A good afternoon watch.
