“Slacker” Stevie Gee @ Shop 13 at The Old Truman Brewery, LondonJuxtapoz // Wednesday, 04 Dec 2013
"Artist Stevie Gee's latest solo show "Slacker" opens this Thursday December 5th at Shop 13 at London's Old Truman Brewery.
A motorcycle-inspired solo art show by artist Stevie Gee featuring a custom-bike collaboration with Sideburn Magazine, limited edition screen-prints, paintings, drawings and a plethora of hand-painted objects, leather, skateboards and handmade weapons.
There will be series of 70’s motorcycle gang insisginia that you won’t have heard of including “The Shy Ones” “The Double Quiffs” and “The Hard Cocks.”
Stevie was in the New York “Folklore” art show earlier this year featuring amongst others, Ed Templeton, Evan Hecox, Geoff McFetridge, Thomas Campbell and Stephen Powers. This solo London show is an expansion of the work he created for that show as he continues to craft lowbrow art for the pleasure of other peoples peepholes.
The show will be open all day from Friday 6th-10th of December as a pop-up gallery & shop where you can purchase art, magazines and tees, or just pop by to say hello. Stevie has just collaborated with Vans for its SS14 collection; some of the art from this collaboration will also be on display at the show. Vans are proud to support independent art."
If you’re in London you should definitely stop by and check out this show.
