Skeletal Sculptures by Monika Horčicová

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, 25 Jun 2014

We will forever have a strong connection to our bodies and the skeletal structures that maintain our human structure. Seeing it recreated is a fascinating spectacle, since we can’t see the ones we possess. Monika Horčicová, a Czech sculptor and installation artist prints 3D skeletal pieces to create very surreal juxtapositions with ligaments and backbones nakedly exposed. The repetitive cycling pattern presents itself as morbid mutations of our inner constructions leaving us looking back for more.
