Shisen by Kenta Torii

Torii’s oil paintings, with a very personal palette knife technique, explore the dichotomy of bright and dark sides in the inner self.

In his next show, Shisen, which translates as “the looks,” Torii wants to transmit the deepness of the eyes and how they can communicate in “silent words”.

Shisen will open December 10th at Mexico City’s FIFTY24MX gallery from 7 – 10pm. It will remain on view through February 6th, 2010.
