Los Angeles-based Sage Vaughn, who will be featured in the June 2011 issue of Juxtapoz (plus a great video is coming, stay tuned for that), is opening a solo show in London at Lazarides Gallery titled Children of a Lesser God on May 6, 2011. The show is comprised a new series of paintings exploring "notions of control and release as well as the fundamental need for survival, love, and liberty."

We have spent extensive amounts of time with Vaughn as the build up for this show has occured, and visited his studio to look at his envelope paintings, and now we are looking forward to seeing his fine art pieces be displayed.

As Laz writes, "Through the contrast of minutely detailed wildlife and child superheroes against urban backdrops, Vaughn's new body of work provides an eerily familiar setting that both comforting and and inspiring to his audience."
