This Friday evening, July 27, Double Break in San Diego will be opening its new group show curated by Ryan Travis Christian. The show, titled Where My Cones At?, is definitely worth a visit, featuring Juxtapoz's cover artists Eric Yahnker and Andrew Schoultz, as well as other artists featured in the magazine like Jason Jagel (seen above). Double Break's walls will be jam-packed with artwork from many esteemed artists whose work will also be available in Double Break's online store.

Friday night's opening will be accompanied by an after party at the Tin Can Ale House next door with Allison Schulnik's band playing and Jessica Ciocci opening with some stand-up comedy (the flier is below). You don't want to miss it.
Here's some more details from the press:

"Double Break is thrilled to announce Where My Cones At? curated by Chicago-based artist Ryan Travis Christian. This blockbuster exhibition features over 100 artists, all responding to a seemingly simple request- contribute one small-scale, unframed, black and white artwork. The result is a staggering array of work in a variety of media, produced by a wealth of both emerging and internationally acclaimed artists. Christian, himself a widely exhibited artist, frequent curator and occasional DJ, had the following to say:

“A lot of these artists are friends, people who I have worked with or people that I admire. Our circles cross paths in many degrees and the roster of artists is more or less a giant pool of nepotism. Many of them depend on color and I thought it would be interesting to present them with a challenge; others already make top-notch monochrome work. I thought this would be a fun summer show, and a chance to give San Diegans in-person exposure to artists that otherwise don't usually show in the area.” – RTC
