Review: Jeremy Geddes "Exhale" @ Jonathan LeVine, NYCJuxtapoz // Monday, 22 Oct 2012
We had the pleasure of attending the opening reception of Jeremy Geddes, at the Jonathan Levine Gallery. Exhale is the name of a series of 17 hyperreal paintings that capture surreal instants, created with incredibly accurate detail and laborious work. His characters seem to appear in the precise juncture of a fragmented moment and space “...generating a tension between man-made environments in flux and the fragility of living bodies.”
Born in New Zealand but based in Melbourne, Jeremy was visiting New York for his debut solo exhibition in the United States. We totally recommend checking Geddes’s exceptional work that will be on display until November 17, 2012.
