A very cool public art center, the Rainbow Family Village, takes up a few city blocks in Taichung, Taiwan. From the photographer's research, the Rainbow village was painted by 92-year old Huang Yongfu, an original native of Hong Kong. As you can see, the village is covered in colorful, whimsical art, and it seems geared toward children and those that like fairy tales. It might not be the best art you will ever see, but there is something rather magical about having a Rainbow Village in the middle of a congested urban center. All photos taken by Steven Barringer.
