Photos: Os Gemeos Exhibit in Portugal

Continuing to create fully transcendent environments, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo aka Os Gémeos, covered one wall with a collage of paintings, wooden doors, and two three-dimensional houses.

Another wall features their trademark yellow-faced characters painted onto speakers and musical instruments alongside a customized drum set which seems to be taken from last year’s show in Brazil. Music has long been a central focus for the pair and this show also introduces customized boom boxes, reminding viewers of the twins’ roots in graffiti.

Pra quem mora lá, o céu é lá departs slightly from their recent exhibits with a subtler color palate. They still generously utilize their typical bright yellows and blues, but they seem to be experimenting more with pastels and continue to incorporate glass and found items in their truly stunning works.

Look out for Os Gemeos in a near issue of Juxtapoz.
