Over a foggy wet weekend, we took our bikes out to Fort Mason to attend Vice and Intel’s collaborative creative endeavor, The Creators Project. We would be lying if we said our main reason to check out the event wasn’t bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Squarepusher, both rarely making appearances on the West Coast. However, accompanying the wide range of renowned music performers was a variety of artist talks, panel discussions, hands-on workshops and interactive art installations. Some of our favorite works from the event were Chris Milk’s triptych installation that took attendees through three different experiences of flight, as well as UVA’s massive light sculpture outside. This even was reminder that we need more free creative events like this in San Francisco!
