Boneface and I share more than just a love for lineart and confusing people by using bright colors to blanket violent and dingy imagery. We share a diet. That diet consists of superheroes, ghouls, video games, and any cartoon and VHS movie that we could find as a child that had a cool enough cover to watch it, usually resulting in ONLY remembering the cover.
In Boneface's case, his diet is what fuels him. The fused influence of pop-culture and childhood memories pours out into his illustrations so naturally that his passion is so apparent, setting his work apart from a lot of the other pop-culture inspired artwork that floats around on Tumblr that often seems to pop up as a result of desperately attempting to get reblogged.
Boneface isn't at all new to art, but he's still young, which is fucking exciting, because I can't wait to see what he's going to do with his art. Especially if TLC, Bel Biv Devoe and the Inhumanoids all come back from the grave, form a supergroup and hire him to do their album art.
Boneface is great. The end.
