Paintings by Sweden's Fredrik AkumJuxtapoz // Monday, 10 Oct 2011
We just came across the paintings of Swedish artist Fredrik Akum today, and around the office, we are quite impressed with the work. Using acrylic, the young Akum looks as if he is recreating a photo filter application.
On his site, Akum's bio reads, "Swedish artist Fredrik Åkum uses flowing, luminous media to explore fleeting moments. Using the unpredictable process of snapping Polaroids, he documents youth, blossoms, trees and flags caught in the breeze and translates the images into watery paintings that drift between observed reality and daydreaming."
