We made it out Saturday in Los Angeles to Known Gallery for Sonny Gerasimowicz' Empty Promises show. There wasn't much to see before the show, so going was to be a surprise. If you remember what we wrote last week, Sonny was the art director of Spike Jonze's "Where the Wild Things Are."

The crowd was big, as are most Known shows, but this one was quite interesting because Sonny's work was all done on massive white sheets of paper featuring simple, striking drawings. They just loomed over the audience. The content you can see below, but because the works were so large, and Known Gallery already is a very clean, white space, this was definitely a great show to see in person. Sometimes simplicity pays off.
