Opening night photos from Small Gift Miami

Juxtapoz // Sunday, 05 Dec 2010

Artists Adam Wallacavage, Anthony Lister, Pose, Niagara and hundreds of guests gathered last night to join global brand Sanrio, Inc.  at the kick off of Small Gift Miami in the Wynwood Arts District. Continuing the celebrations surrounding Sanrio’s 50th Anniversary, Small Gift Miami is the latest art exhibition and pop-up shop and coincides with Art Basel-Miami. The event is open to the public through today, Sunday, December 5.

Other guests in attendance included artists and fans Ron English, Eric Haze, Luke Chueh and Camille Rose Garcia, Sanrio Chairman Kunihiko Tsuji, Sanrio COO Ray Hatoyama, and Sanrio President Janet Hsu. Actress Isabella Rossellini and artists Shephard Fairey stopped by the incredibly visual space earlier in the day to peruse art.

Inspired by the brand’s “small gift, big smile” philosophy, the opening night of Small Gift Miami gave guests the opportunity to preview the 8,000 square foot custom designed warehouse that has been converted into the world of Sanrio through the eyes of many fantastically talented artists.

We previewed the show with full details earlier this week, so enjoy the opening VIP shots below. . . .
