There is a lack of large animal themed playgrounds; actually there is a lack of creative playgrounds in general, the options are endless really. Why not a massive gator-themed space for kids and adults? In San Paulo, there is a playground shaped as an alligator and for the 2012 SESC Arts show they invited Brooklyn-based artist, Olek, to cover the trademark crochet creations. Over several weeks, the artist and her team used North Carolinian acrylic yarn with Brazilian ribbons in what the artist dubbed  “multicultural mix” to cover the entire exterior of the playground.

We thank Olek for contributing to our Adult Swim by making masks for Delocated.
