Julian Moon debuted her album Good Girl late last month and we're excited to premiere her latest video for the single "Loser," a stop motion animation by LA-based visual artist Alexis Macnab. “This video encapsulates the true meaning of my song Loser," Moon tells us. "It’s about two normal people (or moles) that just enjoy living a simple life. That’s all they need because they’re doing it together...

This is a "Short film about love, dreams, and loss." At first, we thought this was a proper music video for the Flying Lotus track "A Damaging Daydream," but it turns out this is a short by Thomas McMahan that was "made utilizing rare earth metals, A nasa developed oil, and a few things found in various thrift stores. All effects for this were achieved without a computer. All done with practical special effects."

Last Friday night, our Juxtapoz editor was one of the few lucky people to get into the very special (and free) Blur concert at the Music Hall of Williamsburg as part of Converse Rubber Tracks. The show, which was brilliant, fun, and loose, featured the band playing almost the entirety of their new LP, The Magic Whip, with a few classics in the encore. Today, we have an exclusive of the new tracks, "Lonesome Street," "New World Towers," "Ghost Ship," and the encore of "Song 2" for you to watch today. Enjoy! (And today, Thursday, May 7, we have added a special interview, the new track "Go Out," and a classic from Parklife, "Trouble in the Messenger Centre.")

This morning we take a look at some of our favorite covers from "Groove Is In the Art," an archive celebrating "an era when psychadelic graphics and pop art met the mainstream on instrumental and classical album covers in an explosion of line art and color."

Director Julien Lassort uses a simple animated metaphoric black and white journey through endless spaces in this video for ALB's track "The Road." "I wanted to make an hypnotic video that would totally match the rhythm and lyrics," the director said. "The film is like an endless immersion inside an evolving world and this is what the track sounds like to me."

Jamie xx's music has always had a little bit of a vibe to it that makes you feel like you are floating in space. Director Erik Wernquist gets that, and has transformed Jamie's stand-out new track, "Gosh," into an outer space adventure. All photography from the video are by NASA/JPL/University of Arizona/Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio.

Blur may be the only band in the world that can get together after a nearly 15 year absence, make an album, have a track like "Lonesome Street" that sounds like 1995 and it all be very exciting. The British bands new album, "The Magic Whip" will be out out April 27, and the track "Lonesome Street" has a video directed by Ben Reed that features some casual group dancing.

Here's a recap of night two in Austin with Brixton...Night two was insane, we moved our shows inside due to some Southern Texas showers but we started up pretty much right on time. Thanks to last night’s bands; Pearl Charles, The Lonesome Billies, Red Octopus, La Luz, Nikki Lane, Zig Zags, Ex-Cult and The Coathangers were all amazing! Big thanks to all the bands that came out and played and to the venue, see y’all again soon!
