Mirrored Canopy in Marseille by Foster + Partners

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, 06 Mar 2013

The brand new 'Port Vieux' pavilion in Marseille, France is a 46x22 meter canopy made from polished stainless steel that reflects the pedestrian area of the harbor and surrounding wharf. Designed by Foster + Partners, the pavilion is part of a move to reclaim civic spaces over the water. With landscape design by Michel Desvigne, the granite surface is able to mimic the original limestone and blend in with the existing port. (via designboom)
