We have followed the fine art, performance art, and fillmmaking career of Miranda July for quite a bit, as her works shown at Deitch Projects and film Me and You and Everyone We Know have all been acclaimed projects. She is a Swiss Army Knife of talent, and she takes that multi-tasking to Sundance next week with her new film, The Future.

Miranda went to UC Santa Cruz, as did this writer, so there is a bit of fandom here. She didn't finish, we tried not to finish... kinship.

There isn't even a trailer yet, just this synopsis:

When a couple decides to adopt a stray cat their perspective on life changes radically, literally altering the course of time and space and testing their faith in each other and themselves.

If you happen to be at Sundance, here is the schedule:

Sundance screenings:
Friday, Jan. 21, 6:15 pm, Eccles
Saturday, Jan. 22, 8:30 am, Library
Friday, Jan. 28, 9:15 am, Eccles
