Melted Plastic Sculptures by Stefan Gross

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, 25 Jan 2012

Currently on display at Harlan Levey Gallery in Brussels, Stefan Gross has a body of work called Sustainable Trash, featuring a series of melted plastic sculptures. Gross works with "found objects, rescued toys, and childhood memories: the furniture that surrounds us and traditions we hold dear, to recreate a familiar world in wondrous way." From the shark with melted guts spilling out, to the toy soldier with plastic organs exposed, the series is a fun reimagination of simple childhood toys.
