Marc McKee opens Seen/Unknown, an art show and book release, at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles this Saturday, March 19. In 1989, McKee started creating skateboard graphics for World Industries and many of its subsidiaries, like Blind, 101, Menace, A-Team and Almost, as well as being the editor of Big Brother Magazine during its first four years.
Bascially, McKee is one of the capitals during the golden age of skate graphics, and continues to make graphics today. The exhibit will consist of a selection of McKee’s personal favorites from over 20 years of legendary skateboard artwork, from old classic decks to new limited edition prints to never-before-seen original drawings and paintings.
Also at HVW8, McKee will be releasing a new book, The Art of Marc McKee, and signing it at the opening from 7:30—8:30pm. Definitely a show worth stopping by for. One of the legends on display.
