Juxtapoz Presents: DUKE RILEY Video Profile

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, 01 Feb 2011
We are pleased to announce our first artist profile in a continuing series of Juxtapoz produced videos. New York City-based tattoo, performance, and fine artist Duke Riley is our first subject, and today we lauch Part 1 of a 3-part documentary of Duke.

Juxtapoz contributing writer and producer Alexander Klein filmmed Duke Riley as he was preparing his feature on Duke in the November 2010 issue of Juxtapoz.

Alex wrote at the time:

Before I’d ever met Duke, I asked my friend Danilo what he was like. “He’s sort of an action hero guy.” I asked Danilo what he meant by this. “I mean, if the world was coming to an end, I’d kinda want to be hanging out with Duke ‘cause he could probably get us out of it.”

In part 1 of Juxtapoz Presents: Duke Riley, Duke takes a Revolutionary War-era submarine and swims it up to the Queen Mary 2. An action hero at his finest.

Stay tuned for Part 2 & 3 of Juxtapoz Presents: Duke Riley in the coming days.
