Opening this Saturday, November 3rd SFMOMA is proud to present Jasper Johns: Seeing with the Mind's Eye. This will be the first time in 35 years a Bay Area Museum is showing such an extensive overview of Johns' work. Organized in close cooperation between Jasper Johns and Gary Garrels, SFMOMA’s Elise S. Haas Senior Curator of Painting and Sculpture, the exhibition spans 60-years of Johns' career.

In addition the Johns's exhibition SFMOMA will also be debuting two additional shows this Saturday. A retrospective of Bay Area native Jay DeFeo will be on display from November 3, 2012 through February 3, 2013 showcasing DeFeo's massive paintings weighing in excess of two tons. Rafael Lozano-Hemmer's "Frequency and Volume" interactive installation will be premiering this Saturday as well. Lozano-Hemmer's installation allows attendees to control radio frequency and volume using their own bodies as the tuner. Don't forget the first Tuesday of every month is always free admission at SFMOMA. –Brent DCVII Gentile
