This past Saturday at Regen Projects was the opening reception for Black Swan: An exhibit inspired by the film, curated by Dominic Sidhu. I was really excited about this exhibit, which consists of art from some of my favorite artists. It’s not often that you get to see the likes of Matthew Barney, Anish Kapoor and Walead Beshty all in the same room. This show is stunning to say the least.  As soon as you walk in the gallery, you’re taken back and slightly disoriented as the entire floor is adorned by Walead Beshty’s piece “Mirrored Floor,” which not only reflects all the art in the gallery but cracked and shattered throughout the entire evening as the guests walked on it. Following are a few photos from the evening, however you should really stop by and see this exhibit in person to experience its full beauty.
