Earlier this year, while flipping through my friend's catalogues from her MFA program at USC, artist Maya Lujan’s catalogue really caught my eye. I’ve kept her on my radar ever since.I was excited when I heard that Lujan would be showing at Jancar Gallery in Chinatown.  We headed down there for the opening, and I was blown away by her paintings – layers upon layers of paint beautifully painted, poured, pulled, and draped over canvases creating beautiful sculpture-esque pieces.

While the photos below give you a glimpse of her stunning creations, stop by and check out this exhibit in person to experience the full beauty of Maya Lujan's work. The show runs through December 18th.
