I stopped by the opening of Belgium-based artist Kris Martin’s stunning installation at Marc Foxx Gallery. Martin has transformed the gallery, taking over the entire space with one of his beautiful hot air balloon installations. Through an influx of air the nylon fabric of the hot air balloon gracefully clings to the ceiling and walls filling the whole gallery and allowing guests to walk inside and experience the otherwise inaccessible space inside the hot air balloon. Following are a few images from the opening reception, however you should really stop by to experience to full beauty of this installation in person.
