I stopped by the opening of Mango Obstruction Jedediah Caesar's solo exhibit at Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects.  Jedediah Caesar makes beautiful sculptures out of found objects encased in clear or colored resin. Caesar compiles a vast array of different objects (pieces of cloth, wood, metal, insulation material, and anything else he may find) in boxes then pours in liquid resin. Once the resin dries he removes the now solid structure, cuts them into various shapes and sizes, and polishes them to reveal stunning, treasure filled, sculptures. I spent quite some time trying to figure out the contents of some of the sculptures at the opening. Their fossil like or bug trapped in amber feel totally captivated me. Following are a few photos from the evening.
