In Erotica: The Vintage Petty Girl from Esquire to Sgt. Pepper'sJuxtapoz // Tuesday, 21 Jun 2011
From 1933 to 1956, George Petty's 'Petty Girl' was seen everywhere. She had a mischievous, engaging smile and a special twinkle in her eyes. Long-limbed and well endowed, she was a slick, supple, and alluring creature.
Seen mostly in Esquire magazine during the era (we wonder what George Lois could have done with the Petty Girl on the cover), we just read that an image of a petty girl was used in The Beatles' Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album.
