Illustration // Sunday, November 04, 2012
Despite the jaded cynicism that decades of life has instilled in us, we're pretty sure that everybody still secretly enjoys coloring. Luckily, Ryan Hunter and Taige Jensen's Coloring Book for Grown-Ups has got us covered with a variety of fun and appropriately sardonic coloring activities to get the creative juices flowing.

Charles Huettner's GIF's and Illustrations

Illustration // Saturday, November 03, 2012
Charles Huettner is an illustrator and animator that makes adorably quirky little alien characters, some of which he later turns into animated videos and posts them on the net for the world to see. He also does freelance animation/motion graphics, living and working out in Pennsylvania. I'm loving his wacky little GIF's and drawings.

S-Crew's Métamorphose Animation

Illustration // Friday, November 02, 2012
Just when we thought French hip hop was dead, we came across this great animated video made by a group of designers and visual artists named Les Marqueurs for the hip hop group S-Crew. They first filmed and later and rendered all members with a cartoon style, creating this banger of an illustrated animation. Trust me, I don't know French either, but its worth the visual appeal.

Grégoire Dupond's 'Piranesi Carceri d'Invenzione'

Illustration // Friday, November 02, 2012
Etchings and architecture come to life in this rad animation by Grégoire Dupond. 'I made this animation film based on Piranesi's Carceri d'Invenzione prints as a walk through these amazing spaces. I used camera mapping (Projection Man) and camera animation with Maxon's Cinema4D, building 6 different scenes that were merged together in a single continuous animation...'

Alice Ferrow's Simple Whimsy

Illustration // Thursday, November 01, 2012
Alice Ferrow is a third-year illustration major at the University of West England in Bristol.  Her illustrative works on paper are raw and simplistic, but refreshingly upbeat and positive. By grouping and sporadically rendering small objects across the page, Ferrow creates small separated still lives of stylized elements of her own liking.
