"Ghost Eyes" @ The Standard, Hollywood

Four years ago, DJ and artist Tommii Lim injured his right eye in an accident. After a forced year off from making art, his eye healed enough to undergo corneal transplant surgery. He was left with one good eye and the other with 27 stitches, a cadaver cornea and distorted vision. Lim's life slowed down dramatically and the way he viewed the world changed completely. His new installation "Ghost Eyes" at The Standard Hollywood documents this new view of life.

DXTR the Weird is an illustrator and street artist based in Berlin, Germany. Part of the Weird Crew, DXTR translates his bold, vibrant style between wall and print, pumping fresh design-work into the world through all available channels. Featuring characters like jewel-eyed tigers, sunglasses-wearing sneaker dudes and candy-colored astro skulls, DXTR's work is wild yet wickedly clean.

Mike Lawrence's illustrations are decidedly metal. Featuring skeletons and wraiths from the crypt, demon motorcyclists, goblets of darkness and a zombie Robocop committing suicide, these drawings have a lot of personality. Using mainly black ink on paper, Lawrence employs stippling to an impressive degree, getting into extreme detail to give his creepy characters a sense of griminess and decay. Lawrence lives and works in Atlanta.

Cara To AKA "Caratoes" is an illustrator and street artist based in Hong Kong. Her artwork combines mind-blowing neons with swirling, sensitive linework that have a mesmerizing gestural quality. Cara has worked in many different areas, including animation and game design, and her artwork spans many mediums and genres while retaining a strong recognizable character. Some of her recent projects include hand-made 3D hologram illustrations, paintings that are accented with geometric string-work and GIFs that are nothing if not visual candy.
