The work of Rachel Fagiano

Illustration // Wednesday, December 24, 2014
Through her work, Rachel Fagiano uses illustration, painting, sculpture and installation art to explore the ways in which representations of bodies can explicitly or implicitly reflect on cultural and political issues in the spaces we occupy. 'I am particularly interested in formative moments--corporeal and cerebral--and how they are instrumental in creating individual and collective identities.' Thanks for the reader submission Rachel!

Artist Illustrates Her Daughter’s Fashion Choices

Illustration // Tuesday, December 23, 2014
Rather than capturing endless childhood photos, artist Jenny Williams has been illustrating her daughter Clementine’s excellent outfits. Williams posts the drawings of the tween’s outfits on her blog, What My Daughter Wore, and a book of the same name was just released. Stefan Bleekrode's paintings can best be described as snapshots of things he's seen when travelling or just going through his everyday routine, small bits of beauty in familiar settings. The Works of Denmark's Rune Christensen

Illustration // Friday, November 28, 2014
We love the direction this work is going. Danish illustrator Rune Christensen. Just great details, use of color, and great sense of the world around him. Apparently, according to his bio, he travels quite a bit, and some of the colors and patterns  in his work really seems to be inspired by the movements around the globe.
