Hyperreal Noodle Sculptures by Seung Yul Oh

One of our favorite pieces of art from 2013's Art Basel Hong Kong was the outside, interactive sculpture, "Periphery", by Seung Yul Oh, on display in the main hall of the Fair. We were happy to see this great project also pop up on the web in recent days, the New Zealand-based, Seoul-born artist's series of hyperreal, resin sculptures of various Korean noodle dishes. Hanging over 12-feet above a gallery floor, Oh not only created the noodles to suspend in air, but the meats, vegetables, and eggs all are hand-crafted and appear edible. (via designboom)
