Hyper Realistic Paintings by Roberto Bernardi

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, 29 Apr 2014

Italian artist Roberto Bernardi will be opening an exhibition of new hyper realistic paintings at Bernarducci Meisel Gallery in NYC on May 1st. Bernardi spends up to a month creating each painting, using traditional painting techniques of oil on canvas. 'I normally focus on subjects considered banal, like the inside of a fridge, a washing-up machine, the inside of a sweet machine or simply sweets themselves. I like to portray them from an interesting point of view that reveals how interesting they actually are.'
