Hilary Brace Draws Her Cloud Worlds with Charcoal and an Eraser

While they look like they could be photographs, Hilary Brace starts with a smooth, polyester film surface darkened with charcoal, and then using erasers and other tools removes the charcoal to reveal these incredible cloud formations and worlds. In reviewing her drawings, New York Times remarked, "once in a while you come across an art of such refined technique that it seems the product of sorcery more than human craft..."
