Painted back in 2008, but definitely worth another look. Family Guy’s Peter Griffin gives Sever a little help with his background bubbles.

The Paintings of Pablo Cristi

Graffiti // Saturday, July 14, 2012
Los Angeles born, Oakland-based artist, Pablo Cristi, creates vibrant paintings and sculptures relating to pop culture, graffiti, religion, history, gangs, and “Bling culture,” are favorite topic of all. As his website states, “ Cristi’s work is motivated by an active political awareness and is steeped in a critical inquiry of power, representation and history.” “ His investigations of the colonial past, present, and future often take the form of paintings and sculptural objects that deconstruct and commingle urban visual vernaculars.”

MQ barge in transit

Graffiti // Friday, July 13, 2012
It’s on the move! A rare recent capture of the massive, rust-ridden MQ barge in San Francisco being moved by a tugboat to a new destination. It appears time and weather has had its way, eating away at the paint, making the letters less distinct.

Video: Haeler

Graffiti // Thursday, July 12, 2012
In this new video Los Angeles graffiti writer, Haeler, is followed through the streets of the Lower East Side of New York.  What does Haeler think of street artists?  “If I could punch every single one of them in the face, I will.”  Nuff said. Certified real vandalism right here.

Graffiti // Thursday, July 12, 2012
Most popular American vacation destinations don’t include Detroit on their list; in fact, it’s recommended not to go there. This place is becoming the Disneyland of graffiti.

"Gilgamesh" @ Known Gallery

Graffiti // Thursday, July 12, 2012
Revok’s presence in graffiti is undeniably one of the strongest and he just keeps getting better. His inside work is equally as interesting as his outside work and his solo exhibition “Gilgamesh” will surely be a show worth visiting.
