After abandoning his old life as a thug, soldier, doing police work, and even being incarcerated, Pak Nur became a self-taught public artist who made his home on the streets. As graffiti writer turned non-profit organizer, BNE states, “ While in Indonesia doing our first water project, I met a middle aged homeless artist named Pak Nur who uses his art to spread messages about corrupt politics and other social ills."
