“Falling Star” is an Installation by South Korean artist, Do Ho Suh, which leaves a house balancing on the roof of a seven story building on the UC San Diego Campus. Looking as if the house dropped from the sky, visitors can view the piece on the roof, enjoy a beautiful well-manicured garden, and catch a descent view of the surrounding San Diego landscape. The work reflects the artists on-going exploration of themes around the idea of home, cultural displacement, the perception of our surroundings, and how one constructs a memory of a space.
