It has been awhile since we last spoke with Brooklyn collective Faile, but tomorrow night's Bedtime Stories solo show at Perry Rubenstein Galley is a good way to get reacquainted. The work is being called a return early Faile "fundamentals that pushes questions of form and process to the forefront. Each of the twelve works’ compositions are assembled from numerous painted wooden blocks and they emerge as unified paintings."

After Faile's interactive arcade of Deluxx Fluxx with Bast and Lost in Glimmering Shadow, both at Lazarides Gallery in London, it's nice to see Faile head back over to this side of the Atlantic. Especially when we read "Bedtime Stories presents works of a neo-baroque ilk yet they are aggressively beautiful while underscoring FAILE’s continued exploration of formal and aesthetic inquiry and evolution."

We will have a NYC correspondent at the opening, so more to follow.
