To Look at Lindsay

Erotica // Thursday, October 18, 2012
"There's nothing intrinsically wrong about looking at pictures of Lindsay Lohan. In fact, there’s something aberrantly fascinating about their slickness and vacuity, and about Lohan as a self-destructive sympathetic figure. Yet, to like Phillips's pictures of Lindsay Lohan is to give oneself over to post-irony and its problematic doublespeak. Populist and positionless, the post-ironic attitude hovers between cool detachment and innocent enjoyment...."

So, when are hot dogs ever hot funny?? Tell me that. The good old American Weenie, Frank, Wiener, Frankfurter, Foot Long, Wienerschnitzel, Little Smokey or cocktail sized. The jokes that could go along with this wonder food are countless. So here we are, its Thursday, and I'm ready for some hot dog humor.

Gabriel Kieling's Sketchbooks

Erotica // Thursday, October 18, 2012
Beautiful erotic compositions and portraits in the sketchbooks of Sao Paulo architect, Gabriel Kieling. They have the precision and balance that could be expected in an architectural blueprint, with clean lines of geometry and angular accents but are mixed with the passion of human emotion, desire and skin.

Erotica // Wednesday, October 17, 2012
'Born from a desire to express an ever expanding range of dark and light values, this series not only reaches to the far limits of how our eyes perceive physical light but also how our psyche perceives the human nature and its relationship to light and dark, good and evil, dominance and submissiveness. This series puts the light beam to good use and transforms the ungraspable into a visibly tangible binding element which gracefully holds the subject in their position...
