We are very excited to have been on the ground during the installation of Dennis McNett's "Temple of the Wolfbat" exhibition at Known Gallery in Los Angeles, opening on Saturday, November 16. We know Dennis has worked extremely hard on the work for this show, and our roaming contributor to the mag, Brock Fetch, has been in LA checking out what the Temple is all about...

Just in time for Dennis' show, we released our new Wolfbat hoodie with the artist...

Known Gallery is proud to present Temple of Wolfbat, an installation, collection and retrospective of Dennis McNett’s profound and spiritual work. Sculpture, leather etching, collage painting, and wood carving all play roles in the Temple, as Brooklyn-based McNett brings his animalistic storytelling journey to the renowned Known Gallery, Los Angeles November 16 through 30, 2013.

A 30-foot Viking ship sailing the wrong way down 10th Avenue in Manhattan with a metal band playing and fireworks exploding. A collaboration with Swoon in Milan. Barney’s windows on Madison Avenue, and in Chicago and Seattle. Projects with Vans, Antihero and Volcom. Exhibits from Berlin and Copenhagen to Estonia and Mexico. Museums, skateboards, galleries and city streets have all served as backdrops to McNett’s creative evolution, a powerful mix of sophistication and grit. "“It's easy to by cynical in this world. For me, it's not always easy to walk through life with positivity and try to offer that positivity back to the world,” says McNett. “I find it fun and effective to offer it with characters, story telling, collaboration, made-up myth and meditation. Temple of Wolfbat is a combination of all these things."

In addition to the Temple of Wolfbat, the McNett show will feature a complete project room retrospective of Dennis’s work for Antihero Skateboards, a lineage of decks dating back to 2006.

Thank you to our friends at Vans for helping out!
