On April 27th, Dustin Parker and Arran Lowe debuted a collection of new works in The Dark Scientists, an exhibition of music, video, and paint at the Tangent Lab in Wichita, Kansas for one night only. The exhibit explored science fiction themes such as human cloning, alien invasions, movie monsters, mythological creatures, political conspiracies, human sexuality, freaks of nature, and the bird flu. These subjects were represented in various forms including original music, video, paintings, and computer-generated digital prints. But more importantly, The Dark Scientists exhibition explored the science of creating art. The show ended with a live painting and musical performance. Dustin sent us his photos from the show.
