Crocheted Masks by Aldo Lanzini

Juxtapoz // Monday, 09 Jan 2012
We have been seeing the unique, handmade, what appears to be crocheted masks of artist Aldo Lanzini for quite some time, and finally got around to posting the work this morning. What at first looks like aliens from a very soft planet become psychedelic with each colorful explosion of knitted bizarreness.

Aldo says of his work, "Definitions are always quite liquid. I use my needle as if I were a sculptor. I move instinctively and I don’t think about the design of my work: I create straight away."
