Ever Gold Gallery in San Francisco is preparing for their first exhibition of 2013 with a solo show from Sadie Barnette, originally from Oakland, currently based out of LA. The exhibition is co-organized by Jamie Alexander of Park life in part of an ongoing collaboration between the two spaces that initially started with the "Invisible Relics" show at Park Life that paired California conceptual artists, Chris Burden, Paul Kos, and Tom Marioni, with neo-conceptual California artists Guy Overfelt, Mauricio Ancalmo, and Josh Short, curated by Ever Gold's Andrew McClintock.  Future collaborations for 2013 between the two well know SF based spaces are brewing and will involve a series of artist prints and a joint booth at the upcoming SF art fair, artMRKT in May.

According to the press release Barnette's work focuses on "sub-culture codes and west coast vernacular, economic formalism, text and abstractions. Her work is concerned with extra-legal economies, luxury as drug, counterfeit capitalism, glitter as hypnotic, outer space as head space, the everyday as gold, family and lived identity experience, and the party."

Barnette's show at Ever Gold is a treasure of minilists sculpture and photography, as well as  a limited edition artist book that will be released at the opening...not to be missed.

Opening Reception is this Saturday from 6-10pm.

Exhibition runs until March 15th.
