Needless to say, Comic-Con brings out a unique group of people. People who leave their homes dressed in painstakingly created costumes without fear of embarrassment, people who covet and swoon the latest toy releases well beyond their childhood years, and those who wish to talk about subject matter usually restricted to Internet message boards (and maybe your mother's basement). But, we love it.
For us, it has brought out an extremely rare chance to see other people who share a similar passion for topics which are a certain type of taboo amongst the general populous. For the same reason people line up and down crowded city streets to watch a parade descend upon their city, we head down to San Diego for the chance to see things which would be well beyond the realm of my daily life experiences. Check out the cacophony of visual sights that surrounded our lives over the last 5 days. —Nick Latner / Juxtapoz Video Game Editor
